Use Extended Search to
narrow your results by searching within one or more specific categories. If
your Simple Search result is greater than 50 items, you will automatically go
to Extended Search mode to give you the tools to focus your search. You can
enter search terms in any combination of category text boxes.
All Categories Search
Use this search option to search
multiple categories at once. All Categories behaves like Simple Search.
Searching for
Beethoven will return all the Beethoven works in our
catalog. Searching for Beethoven Sonata (composer + title) will return only the
Beethoven Sonatas.
Song Title Search
Use this search option to search
for a song title, collection title, movie soundtrack title, etc.
A search for
You Raise Me Up will return all versions of the song in
our catalog. In some cases, the song you’re searching for may be included in a
digital collection (indicated with the Collection icon after the
title). To view the song within the contents of a collection, click on the item
and select the song from the contents.
If you’re searching for a
collection of works, such as music from a soundtrack, enter the collection or
movie title. For example, a search for Harry Potter
will return all items in our catalog from the Harry Potter film series
soundtracks, including digital collections. A search for Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire returns only the sheet
music from that particular film.
Artist Name Search
Use this search option to search
for a performer, composer, songwriter or lyricist.
A search for
George Gershwin returns all works in our catalog
written by George Gershwin.
A search for
Madonna returns all titles in our catalog performed by
Madonna.
Instruments Search
Use this search option to search
for digital sheet music for a particular instrument.
A search for
Violin returns all music in our catalog for that
instrument.
